Branson An Old Time Christmas versus Yakov Smirnoff

This November will be my husband and my first (and last) trip to Branson and I need to decide between An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City Square and seeing Yakov Smirnoff. If anyone has ever been to an Old Time Christmas, would you recommend it? I would appreciate any feedback on either to help me with this decision. Thanks!

We saw Yakov Smirnoff 5 or 6 years ago and he was hilarious. Put on a great show.

Just curious..... Why your first and your last?

If you have not gone yet you may like it! If you have reservations about going there, why are you going?

I have never been either, but the Christmas shows look festive and put you in the spirit of the season!

I haven't been to Yakov's show, but we did do Silver Dollar City at Xmas. Silver Dollar City has a number of different (indoor)shows throughout the park. The lights were pretty, but walking around the park is outside, so bear that in mind. The shows we saw were certainly passable, and you have choices. Shopping, food vendors, lights, and more than one show to view.

Rather different options for you. Will you be there just one evening?

We were there over Thanksgiving weekend.

BTW, I get why it is your first and last visit....;-)

Why?

The reason it is my first and last is because Branson seems a little cheesy to see more than once. The reason I am going there is because we will be in the area on business and I would like to see what it is all about. I want to see everything possible at least once. i think it will be fun for one time.

Your right, I might like it. I usually enjoy historical sights, museums and art more than anything else. It's just a matter of what interests me personally.

Yakov Smirnoff's show is good and he bends over backward to make sure everyone has a good time: sign autographs, poses for pictures, etc. You can also take photos (without flash) during the show.

Be sure to check out his art in the rest rooms.
