Oh, c'mon. Can you not leave it alone. The information was just fine, concise.
the Colorado contingent can get tiresome, myself included probably.

I take back what I said, just for the record.

What did you decide, lovelucy?

When you're there, remember it's "CU", as someone said above. It's funny, because the Denver campus is referred to as "UCD", (Univ of CO, Denver). But Boulder is always "CU".

If you're brave enough, you can ask for restaurant recommendations. Boulder is home to some fabulous places to eat, depending on your budget.

Ok. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions all will be tried sooner or later as daughter is entering college there in the fall. We stayed at the St Julien. Beautiful. Awesome service. New pricey but worth it. We actually walked to campus too so it was perfect. A day of shopping on Pearle before orientation. We had lunch at the Yellow Deli on Pearl. Very good, light lunch. Dinner at a big Mexican restaurant on corner near the hotel. Pretty good but we were told there is better Mexican. Lunch another day at Snarfs. Great sandwich. We were taken to dinner by friends one night in Niwot. I cannot remember the name. It was owned by the same owner as Salt on Pearl street. It was OK. I've had better food. Dinner one night in Louisville. The Majestic. Nice and relaxed. I thought the food was really good. It was Friday night and there was a street fair going on. Apparently every Friday night during the summer.
I learned quickly that the university is refered to as CU. Didn't know that. Orientation was great. My third college student and I thought it was the best of the three. I fell in love with Boulder and am looking forward to returning. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and info. This is he best place on hue internet for travel suggestions.

Lucy, glad you enjoyed orientation. I felt last years was done well, also. We have enjoyed visiting Boulder, managed to get up every several weeks. What dorm is your daughter in? My boys will be in a house this year, just off campus with 2 other boys. Big changes! They may appreciate a meal out even more than before.

It's hard not to fall in love with Boulder and the gorgeous CU campus. Glad to hear it all went well.

For anyone thinking about going to The Yellow Deli you should know that it is run by a cult called The Twelve Tribes. They are racist, sexist, thieving, child beating scum. Personally I wouldn't give them a penny. You can read more here if you're interested - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_Tribes_communities
