Boulder - eating at Pearl Street Mall

Any suggestions for a good restaurant at the Pearl Street Mall...looking for American or Italian food, mild to moderately priced. Thanks.

The Mediterranean Restaurant (The Med) is great and a can't miss. The food is mediterranean, but I think you'll enjoy it. It's not right on Pearl, but a block down on Walnut. Another favorite - Antica Roma. There's also the Cafe Gondolier and Pasta Jay's.

For American, try the Walnut Brewery, also on Walnut, BJs and the West End.

I think Pasta Jay's is gone? But you can stroll down Pearl Street (and Walnut might be better) and find lots of places. I don't think there's much that's too pricey.

Definitely the Med. Good food, creative menu, fun atmosphere, reasonable prices, good service.

BJ's Brewery is really good. Their speacialty is Chicago style, deep dish pizza though they also have salads, burgers, sandwiches and pasta. It is a brewery so they do have homemade microbrews as well as delicious homemade rootbeer. For desert try one of their delicious big cookies toped with ice cream.

Pasta Jay's is long gone. Don't overlook the streets just this side of Pearl St. Mall. Walnut St. has several good restaurants. There are also some possibilities on Pearl St. just south of 15th St.

Pasta Jay's is very much alive. Or at least is was last weekend. It is now located at 10th and Pearl at the former sight of a French restaurant (name escapes me). Brasserie 10-10 is also good - it is right across from the Med. It is owned by same person who owns the Med. Slightly more upscale and French theme rather than Mediterranean. I would recommend Antica Roma for Italian, Pasta Jays is more casual and great if you have kids.

Another excellent restaurant on the Pearl Street Mall is 14th Street Bar and Grill. Located at the south-east corner of 14th and Pearl. Very nice, family owned restaurant.
