Boulder (and vicinity) B&B suggestions (or Frisco)
Hello all
I plan to visit some friends who recently moved to Colorado later this summer. The night I arrive I think I'll stay in a mountain town and meet up with my friend who just moved to Frisco. He said he could meet up with me wherever I choose to stay so I could go to Frisco or Boulder (my current choices). I'm thinking of a nice B&B (or small hotel) nestled in the mountains, terrace overlooking the mountains... It would be nice if it were walking distance to shops and restaurants but not necessary if it is loaded with charm. (and a great place to have the morning cup of coffee while drinking in the mountain views and air!) Does anything come to mind? thanks! |
topping, hoping for input...

Here are some suggestions for Boulder--http://www.alpsinn.com/ in Boulder Canyon--though it is not far up the canyon, you would need a car to drive into town

I am confused because I don't see Boulder and Frisco in the same vicinity. Is it just the first night and then you are going to Frisco? If you are staying in Boulder, shopping is fun. But if you go ahead to the mountains, the mountain towns will meet all of your criteria. I would probably suggest Breckenridge if you wanted to be very close to Frisco, But personally I enjoy Vail or Beaver Creek more in the Summer. You really can't go wrong. (But if you like luxury loging at bargin prices, I usually get great deals in Beaver Creek)

Thanks for the info...
I see Boulder as a way point to Fort Collins (where one set of friends live) or I can head closer to Frisco that first night where my other friend just moved. I'd like to visit with them both - which either means a lot of driving for me, or, my friend in Frisco is willing to drive to meet with me where I decide to stay the first night. I thought Boulder looked like a good place to visit, if I didn't head out in his direction. (Plus my FOCO friends might come to Boulder that first day to hang out, too). |
I understand now, Boulder would be great, there is a lot do, and is almost a half way point. I can't recommend a place to stay, but martym's suggestions look nice. Have a great trip!
