Boulder, 2 days, Ideas?
 
I have a friend that will be visiting Boulder for two days while her husband will be doing some business there. I'm looking for ideas for things she can do by herself during that time. Have you got some suggestions?....Barb

Will she have a car? Does she like to hike? She could drive into Denver to take in the art museum if that's her thing, or go hiking around Chatauqua Park in Boulder, or drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park, less than an hour away, or take a tour of the Celestial Seasonings plant, if she likes tea, or have lunch at the Dushanbe Teahouse, a very unique spot, stroll up and down the Pearl Street Mall, a pedestrian shopping area and be entertained by the myriad of street people and performers there... phew! Have her check out the myriad of tourist information on the web about Boulder and she's sure to find many ideas... but it's hard to recommend specifics without knowing what she likes to do and how she'll get around!

If she's a spa diva, have her make an appointment at Essentiels Spa (by the downtown Marriott). Book a hot stone massage with Nina and...bliss! (and no, I don't work for them--just a happy all-too-infrequent customer)

Is there a downtown Marriott in Boulder? Or do you mean the Hotel Julien, or Denver?
I agree there are tons of things to do in and near Boulder, depending on her preferences. Hiking? Shopping? Pampering? Sightseeing? More details?

Thanks for your help. She will have a car available. She is interested in sightseeing, tours, dining, and shopping. She is in her early 40's, if that info helps. Appreciate all of your ideas.

There's a Boulder Marriott on Canyon Blvd., 2 1/2 blocks from Pearl Street Mall.

Breakfast on the outdoor porch at Chatauqua, then a nice hike up the trail there to work it off. Go to the I M Pei NCAR building for the views and go inside for the terrific displays and exhibits (then hike the trails behind the building for even more views). Head a mile or two south to Eldorado Canyon--swim in the natural springs pool and take a nice walk along the streamside path into the canyon (watch the rock climbers).
