Boston tour company

Has anyone taken a tour of Boston with one of the guided tours? If so, can you please tell me which company you recommend?

Thanks!

We did the free National Park Service walking tour of the Freedom Trail (excellent) and then a Duck Tour which was great fun.

I saw information about the Duck Tour. Is this also appropriate for children 2 & 3 years old?

The Old Town Trolley tour....is that the name of the company? Or do you have their website?

Thanks!

The Duck tours are a lot of fun - what's special about them is that not only do you get a tour through the streets of Boston, but then the amphibious vehicle launches into the Charles River, and you get a cruise on the river with nice views of the Boston skyline. I did this tour a few years ago with out-of-town guests, and thought it was quite enjoyable. I think this would be as appropriate for small children as any other tour, although it's not specifically geared to them. Here's their web site:

If you are going with 2 & 3 year olds, then I think the Duck Tour is the best.

The kids will even get a sticker! :-)

it is a lot of fun.

We did the Duck Tour in October and highly recommend it. We did the tour from the Science Musuem, which was great, but more importantly, has pretty inexpensive parking for downtown Boston. If you are going with a car, I highly recommend you take the tour from here. It is a short walk to the T and we left our car there for more than 12 hours and covered a lot of distance.
