Just down the street from the Mount Vernon is a very good Italian food option open evenings. It's in an unusual location, in the back area of a convenience store (Vinny's) and is called Vinny's at Night. It's a Southern Italian spot and very good.

Legal Seafoods is supposed to be very good and it is popular. There are several locations in the Boston area. We tried to get in without a reservation and we would have had to wait over 2 hours. Be sure to make a reservation.

Thanks again for all the great responses...i'm going to have to type up a cheat sheet before i go!
When i was young and visiting boston with my family, we went to the Original Legal Seafoods. Now there's one about 10 miles from my home here so I'm thinking I'm going to want to stick to independent restaurants or chains limited to the New England area. Thanks again everyone! |
I just ate at East Coast Grill last night for the first time, really liked it. And since you will have a car, they have a lot across the street where you can park for five dollars.

Any of these great suggestions within walking distance of the Intercontinental Hotel? Know of any that are?
Thanks. |
No. Sorry. But there are many, many good restaurants in other neighborhoods. The request from the OP focused on one particular pair of neighborhoods.
