Boston restaurant help
 

We are looking for restaurants for 2 nights in Boston. Friday night, perhaps a good place in the Italian area. Saturday night we need a place near the Emerson College Theatre where we could eat late after the show. Within reason, price is pretty open, but there must be something for our vegetarian daughter (pasta again?). Not a vegetarian place, however, as the rest of us like meat. Any help would be much appreciated.

Paglucias on Paramentor St. off of Hanover. Jacob Wirths on Stuart St. just behind the Wang.

Waht sort of food are you looking for- I know you mentioned Italian, but do you like more mainstream type Italian food (chicken/veal parmagiana, fettucine alfredo etc) or are you looking for more a "new cuisine"/gourmet type of place? For mainstream I like Lo Conte's on Salem St, Il Villagio on Hanover or Cibo on Hanover. For less "tradional" fare, Carmen is good.

We recently had a *wonderful* meal at Lucca on Hanover Street in the North End--Italian but more Tuscan in flavor--hence the name, I assume. There were some veg options, as well as dishes that might be able to be tweaked by the chef to make them veg...It is hard for me to imagine that Jacob Wirth, a traditional German place would have a lot of veg choices but I have not been there in >25 years.

Emerson is not far from the Boylston/Copley Street area. Kashmir on Newbury Street is a good option for the vegetarian/nonvegetarian if you like Indian Food. Also, Stephanie's on Newbury is good, open late, casual and fun.

There are so many good restaurants on Hanover Street (the North End) that it's not really a gamble to walk up and down, look at the menus posted, and pick one. Have fun!

Closer to the theater district/Back Bay is Davios - which is an upscale and wonderful Italian. Less upscale and admittedly a chain but not bad is Maggiannos Little Italy. If you the North End, my favorite place is Terramia on Salem.
