Boston Omni-Parker House

Any one ever stayed there and have any recommendations on hotel and/or location in Boston? Seems like we can get a good deal there so I am worried about the hotel or location.

Thanks, Jim

Have never stayed there, but think the location is very good - easy walk to Quincy Market area, shopping, the Common, T stations, etc. Located more or less at the base of Beacon Hill which is an interesting and relatively safe area -

The rooms are older and smaller, but they are continuously rehabilitated. The hotel is famous for its Parker House Rolls. The location is excellent, and it is always busy. However, the lobby and ballrooms are probably the most impressive portions of the hotel.

Jim:
I'm from Boston and the Omni Parker House is one of those grand old hotels which you will love. As Leslie said, they are constantly upgrading the rooms and the location is ideal. Definitely, do not hesitate to stay there.

We stay there often. Some rooms are a bit compact. The hotel is fabulously located. The public areas are terrific, the restaurants are nice (moderately priced huge menu in lounge), and the neighborhood is safe.
