Boston hotel perfect location
 

A few of us gals are going to Boston in November for the weekend and we need to know where to stay.

Omni Parker House - right in middle of everything. Get good rates for longer stay.

I like the Marriot Longwharf near the aquarium

Hi,<BR><BR><BR>I liked the Hilton Boston Back Bay close to the Prudential Centre and the Sgeraton across the street when I was in Boston last New Year.<BR><BR>Both are about 3-4minutes walk to the Green Line T and were very good

I agree totally with gbs. We also have stayed at the Boston Park Plaza near the Public Garden and thought the location was not too bad. But we got cheap rates on the internet and were in kind of a closet as I remember. I'm sure it has nicer rooms.

Heather...<BR><BR>I'd recommend you stay in the Back Bay area. This area stays lively at night, and I imagine that with a group of gals, you're going to want to go out and have a good time.<BR><BR>The Omni Parker House is a good location for exploring the freedom trail (it's right on it). But the area slows down at night. Faneuil Hall is walking distance from there, but I prefer the restaurants and bars in the Back Bay to those of Faneuil Hall. You would be closer to the North End, however. Great Italian food!<BR><BR>I don't know if price is no object, but here are some Back Bay Hotels which are centrally located:<BR><BR>The Westin (www.starwood.com/westin/index.html) - Right by the Boston Public Library. Not the prettiest thing to look at, but supposedly nice.<BR><BR>The Fairmont Copley Hotel (www.fairmont.com)- beautiful hotel right next to the Trinity Church (and next to the Westin Hotel). The rooms are a bit dated though, and room sizes varied widely with my stays there.<BR><BR>The Lenox Hotel (www.lenoxhotel.com)- a block down from the Fairmont on Exeter and Boylston. I love this hotel, but check to make sure the scaffolding is off before you book (they say it should come off in Sept). Great beds! Ask if they are having their "deal of the century" for the time you book. It's pay for one night, get the second at $20. The special has resurfaced from time to time (I've taken advantage of it twice).<BR><BR>XV Beacon (www.xvbeacon.com) - I have never been in this one. It's a small boutique hotel, and all I know about it is it's supposed to be posh!<BR><BR>There are many other hotels...you can do a search here on Back Bay. The hotels I mentioned are pretty pricey. Sorry that I couldn't help with more budget options...I stay on company money usually, so I have a decent budget to work with!<BR><BR>Boston is pretty small (at least the touristed parts of it) so you can explore many areas from wherever you decide to stay.
