boston hotel girls weekend

Hi ALL - I'm looking for a hotel in Boston around $225 a night that has parking for a girls getaway weekend the end of January beginning of Feb. I'm just not sure of the location I shoudl be looking in. We want to sightsee a little bit, have a good meal that doesn't break the bank and go dancing or comedy club or something at night. Would prefer not to have to take car in and out a bunch of times so walking distance or T is prefered. Any thoughts? Thanks

I thought you had booked a hotel--according to your earlier thread: http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...ekend-help.cfm

How about the Newbury Guest House? Located in shopping central you will be able to get to restaurants, clubs etc easily by T or foot.
If the bed configuration issue isn't a problem, try Priceline. Bidding four stars in Copley Square/Back Bay area has given me the Fairmont Copley Square ($125 this past Sept) and The W ($125 in Dec).

The only suite hotel I can think of is the Guest Quarters Suite in Cambridge. Its not a great location, because its not right on the T, but it does have parking. And they probably have a shuttle into Boston or the T.

But I checked, and they have 2 room suites with twin beds and a pull out couch, so will only sleep up to 4. Are you still trying to find a room for 5, as per your earlier thread?

I have to admit... i think that's impossible. But then, I can't imagine putting 5 women in a hotel room with 1 bathroom anyways.

you could try the Kendall Hotel in Cambridge. They offer rooms starting at $129, so you might manage 2 rooms. They are very convenient to the T (just steps from the Kendall stop), and they have packages which include breakfast and parking

Boston in late January? That's going to be COLD. You probably know that, but just in case you didn't. The extent of your sightseeing may be snowbanks along the roads.

thanks cw for confusing everyone... I reposted because 1 person backed out and now i can get a room with 2 beds and no need for a suite. So can you all help out with that in mind?

It is most unlikely that you will see any savings for four people over what you would spend for five. Just do what you were going to do before.
