Boston Hotel

I know this is probably impossible but I am looking for a hotel in boston that is under 110 dollars a night. I want a realatively nice hotel (nicer then a super 8) with a few ammenaties. I also want it to be near all the things that make Boston great ie common, freedom trail, downtown, quincy market ECT Also would help if close to Public Transit!!!!!

Seriously doubt this is going to happen for you - search Boston lodging here and you will get some options for least expensive places in Boston, but likely they will be more than you have budgeted.

In effort to save money, be very careful about location and access to Boston. Some places call themselves things like Boston/Waltham (or some other city) and are geographically close but can be tedious in travel time. If they promise a shuttle, call hotel directly and make sure it is actually running.

Not a recommendation, but an observation. There is an Amerisuites in Medford that I know has an AM shuttle to MBTA because the van driver frequently cuts me off in a rotary (traffic circle) on my way to work. So you might check their rates.

Go to www.biddingfortravel.com and peruse the hotel FAQ's along with recent winning bids...

Best would be to post bidding assistance request (which will be quite educational for you).

You could check out the Boston Milner, but I wouldn't recommend it, or call it nice, but it is well located.

Getting "nicer than a super 8 with a few ammenaties" will be quite the challenge for under 110/night.

Nevermind. Just noticed in another post you are traveling with two kids, so Priceline will not do...

Good luck!

Also check www.hotels.com and www.expedia.com. Boston has a very high occupancy rate during the summer vacation months, so you are going to be hard pressed to find alot in your price range.

Have a great time and hope you are successful in finding what you are looking for.

Actually, the Chandler Inn is in a great locaton.....going to Tremont Street for the great little restaurants or heading towards Copley Square. You might want to try the Newburry Street B&B

Of course it depends on time of year and whether its mid-week or weekend, but I did a quick check on Kayak.com & they had the Shawmut Inn on Beacon Hill for $119 (only 2*, but great location)...this was mid-week. And Holiday Inn Select Back Bay was $171 on weekend in July...Try Kayak, it is a great site and you can narrow down which sections of the City you would be willing to stay.
