Boston for Valentine's
My girl and I are in are mid 20's and excited to visit Boston, let alone be there for Valintine's Day. I have never been and she was recently there just for an afternoon. What is the most fun we can encounter in 3-4 days? Boston, help me out!

Of course you know it is probably going to be VERY cold. Either do not drive your car into Boston or have a plan on how to get around without a car once you arrive.
I would start with planning on spending time walking and eating on Hanover Street in the North End, Charles Street on Beacon Hill, Newbury Street in the Back Bay. Give us some help, what is your idea of fun? |
BY "fun" I mean anything "artsy", romantic, "outdoorsy", or just anything we can't miss.

Not sure if the skating rink at the Chaarles Hotel will be still open(you can rent skates) but that is a spot with several excellant restaurants without leaving the grounds of the hotel. How romantic is that?????

My son recently took his girlfriend to Cafe Fleuri to enjoy the Chocolate Bar Buffet in the Langhorn Hotel. They absolutely loved it! I couldn't think of anything more romantic than sharing chocolate together for Valentine's Day.

Thanks for the ideas so far. You all are great.

Go to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. It combines all the things you said--"artsy", romantic, "outdoorsy"--b/c it is modeled on an Italian Palazzo so it has a wonderful "outdoor" courtyard in the center, which has wonderful flowers and is filled w/light from the glass atrium. Also, it is not an all day type museum which leaves you plenty of time for other fun activites!!
Hope you love Boston. We were in our 20's when we moved here and I have always been happy to be here. |
