Boston Ferry to Provincetown

Does anyone know if there is a ferry that goes between the Boston area and the Cape Cod area that will ferry your car also? I'm looking to travel October 16-18 and have only been able to find ferry's that transport people and only during the summer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

It looks like the ferry is only running until Oct 14th, and I don't think they carry cars at all.

You might try googling ferry to Provincetown, MA and then call the companies for further info.

The Cape is pretty sleepy off season so I would doubt that there is much need for ferries off season.

Nope, no car ferrys to the Cape. Only the Passenger Ferry to P-Town. (Ther are car ferrys to Nantucket and Marthas Vineyard, but those all leave out of the Cape too)

You'll have to drive....pretty straight forward really, RT93 south out of the city to Route 3 South to the Cape...

Depends on where you are heading, Should take 1 1/2 hours to Hyannis (Mid-Cape Area)

I don't think that there are car ferries from Boston. At Provincetown, there is no dock that would handle discharging cars.

By the time you would go to a ferry station and be ferried to Ptown you could drive. So, in part fo that reason there is no ferry that handles cars..... the drive will be pleasant in October and from mid-town (not at the rush) it should take about 2 1/4 hrs. You could also take the Plymouth Brockton bus line out to Ptown.

provincetownfastferry.com - but you just missed it unless you want to change your dates -
runs thru Oct 14, people only, no vehicles even in season from Boston

but the drive that time of year will be easy depending on what time you leave Boston, you should even be able to avoid any rush hour traffic and a nice ride down, with plenty of places to stop if you want for a bite on the way
