Boston Duck Tour
We have reservations on the Duck Tour on Sat 6/12 leaving from the Museum of Science (Prudential Center sold out). We are staying at the Marriott Renaissance on Congress.Since we won't have a car, what is the easiest means of transportation to get there by 9 am--cab?
|
The Museum of Science is right off the Science Park stop on the Green Line. You can walk to the Government Center T stop and head outbound, it's only 3 stops.
You can also visit mbta.com, they have a trip planner that's very helpful. |
i would also suggest two other sites that might be helpful when visiting - walkboston.org and hopstop.com
even when using these and mbta, not a bad idea to run your plan by your hotel staff - they should be aware of last minute changes due to traffic snarls, etc - streets, congestion times, etc. |
How many people? If it is 3 of you and you do not otherwise have a T pass, then I would just take a cab. It will be easier and faster (on a Saturday) and likely wouldn't end up costing more than a few extra dollars over taking the T.

I have gotten poor results when using hopstop for directions in Boston.

Anonymous: that is why I always suggest, even with mbta.com and hopstop , to check with either concierge or personnel at T - we have been lucky I guess and even though we live in town often check Hopstop for options and have so far been pleased.

I have also found that HopStop is not always reliable for Boston, but also other cities.
I printed a route for Chicago only to learn that the bus route in question was a school route with limited hours on weekdays. |
