Just reporting back that we had an enjoyable Father's Day lunch at Taiwan Cafe. It was rainy and I was freezing after spending some time at the Fine Arts Museum and all I wanted was a bowl of clam chowder, but my son insisted on going to Chinatown for lunch. I'm glad we did.
I could not find the English description for xiao long bao on the menu so we ended up with pan fried dumplings, vegetable ravioli, pork noodle soup and two more entrees. All were very good, the staff was very nice and we stuffed ourselves. We peaked in the window of the Great Taste Bakery and the items looked delicious but we were too full for another bite.
I wanted to try some of the other suggestions but ran out of time. I must have walked right by Sportello after having coffee at Barrington Coffee Roasting Company. I'll be back in September so will have another chance. Thanks again.
