Boston-CHEAP!

I travel 2-3 wkends every month from Atlanta, in order to do this much traveling I must travel very cheaply! I want to go to Boston, but I need cheap (no hostels) accomodations as well as to know, do I have to rent a car. I like to do as much walking as possible to save $$$. Any great bars not to be missed? (I love Irish Pubs)

Check out the postings on the recent hosted forum for lots of good info.

You do NOT need a car. The city is geographically small, a walker's paradise.

You are going to the right place if you like Irish pubs. We've got tons of 'em! There are even a couple non-smoking ones!

Enjoy your stay.

Try the Forums home page and look for "archives" for Hosted Forums. As for cheap - hotel rates are at an all time high in Boston these days. Some of the newer hotels are running specials at the moment (Seaport, Wyndham) in the $130's. Lower than that though, you probably wouldn't want to stay there...

I not sure if you have the same idea of cheap as I do but a very affordable excellent value is The Eliot. You'l find your pub right downstairs and you're just a bock from Newbury Street, the most delightful stoll thru bistros and shops I can think of this side of Paris.
