Boston At Christmas

Hi All,
We are taking our 17 yr old twin nephews to Boston at Christmas and need a hotel that will guaranteed us conntecting rooms or a hotel that has a two-bedroom suite. It seems as if connecting rooms are a request only and not a guarantee at time of reservation. We are taking them to a New England Patriot football game via the subway/train service so we need to be close to the subway station. Does anyone have any suggestions? Appreicate it! It's the boys first trip to Boston.

The commuter-rail train line that makes the special stop at Foxboro originates at South Station, which is on the subway's Red Line, and then stops almost immediately at Back Bay Station, which is in the Copley Square area and on the subway Orange Line. Those two stations are within walking distance of half the hotels in Boston, so you have lots of options.

Over Easter we stayed with our two kids (24, 21) at the Eliot Hotel in Boston on Commonwealth Ave - they have connecting suites/rooms they guarantee- I don't know your price range, but it was fabulous.

You could check out their web page at eliothotel.com

the master room was lovely, great bathroom; connected by closing french doors to a living room with tv, plenty of room to spread out, a separate wet bar and a short hall to another room with two twin beds and another lovely bath. It worked out perfectly. The kids even watched movies, etc in the living room area later into the night and it didn't disturb us

You can walk to subway from there, walking in Boston is easy, it's a great walking city, even in the winter!

by the way, you probably know this, but just in case...
you can't have too many warm clothes for going to The Blade in December!!! Long underwear. 2 pairs of socks. Hats, mittens, and anything else you can wear.
I went to a Patriots game in mid December last year, and we had a light snowfall. I was freezing when the game was over. you might get lucky and it won't be too bad. You might have to dig your seat out of snow bank. Thats the fun of Foxborough. SO don't scrimp on the luggage space... pack every warm thing you need.
