Boston area?
Looking to go to Boston for a weekend trip
What are the best areas/neighborhood to look for a hotel. We will be 5 adults and 2 children and just want to go and experience some of the sights that Boston has to offer |
Your best bet is probably the Back Bay area. The hotels in this area are generally nice, well located and safe. You can also check out hotels in the Financial District or the Waterfront.
But avoid outlying areas such as Revere, Chelsea, Somerville or beyond. Generally these hotels are either inconvenient or unsafe or both. Personally I've had good luck with the Back Bay Hilton. Convenient and attractive rooms. My last stay in town was at the Sheraton Prudential Center which has a wide disparity in the quality of their rooms. We did not fare well on our last stay. Give more details on when you want to come and what you want to do while here and what price range you want to be in and you'll get lots of responses. Also don't forget to do a search. There are many many posts here on hotels in Boston. |

The kids will love it, when you arrive you are greeted in the lobby....by robots! |
Thanks
Budget - hard to say because we are going with people that don't like to spend a lot on hotel rooms. If I had to pick a number I would say under $300 a night for us and under $200 for them. Looking to go late october / early november |
I always suggest the Charlesmark hotel BUT it is not a full service but they will bring food into your room for you as you are surrounded by eating places. You overlook the Boston Public Librar(in season, it's the finish line for the Boston Marathon)
