Books for Hawaii

Is there a equivalent of Rick Steves for Hawaii guide? Looking for books, guides, websites for planning Hawaii trip on a reasonable budget. I found Rick Steves Europe guides very helpful in planning a europe trip on a reasonable budget.

I like the Moon Handbooks (I don't remember the website) and the Kauai and Big Island Revealed/ Ultimate Guidebooks (at wizardpub.com). They give good information for a wide variety of budgets. You an buy them used on amazon.com.

Wizard Publication Guides are the best, in my opinion:

The Big Island Revealed
Maui Revealed
Ultimate Kauai Guide

An Oahu guide is in the works and greatly anticipated.

Agree 100% re Wizardpub books.
There's also a lot of good info on the web e.g.
for Maui: http://members.aol.com/derm1/

Or for Kauai http://www.trykauai.com/

Have fun
Just got back today and used a book called "Hidden Hawaii" and thought it was great - beaches, cafes, shops, excellent advice.

I too tought the Wizard publications were great and the best I have ever seen. They were very honest and frank with their reviews, what to see, where to eat and stay etc. They were also very funny in spots. I am very much looking forward to the one on Oahu to come out.

Kay
