Booking hotel/airlines on the internet

Does anyone have any experience with booking the above mentioned over the internet? If so, do you have a preferrred site? Any information is appreciated. I'm looking to book a trip to Las Vegas. Thanks!

I've done a lot of booking on the web very successfully. There's also a wealth of information for planning your time at your destination. The sites I use depend upon where I'm going. It is essential that you pay great attention to detail (dates, times, prices) and read everything. And, be SURE to print as you go.

I use Travelocity.com. Via that site, you can shop for airfare & compare prices without committing yourself just yet; when you're ready to talk turkey, click on the "buy" button next to the flight that interests you. But avoid Priceline.com unless you're absolutely sure about which dates you're going & returning. It is nice of them to ask for your price ceiling, but once they find something at or below it, you're committed to buying it, & you can't redeem frequent flyer miles for it.

I book hotels and air travel regularly on the web. For Hotels I use Travel Web and I usually book my air travel directly on the airlines web site.

As Bob said, the Las Vegas web site he mentions is great.
