BONNAROO
Anyone going to this music festival in Tenn.?
Or for that matter--- anyone headed to any really great music festival this summer? |
We will be attending at least some of the Jazz Fest in New Orleans. It is held the last weekend in April and the first weekend in May. Great entertainment, food, and fun in the Big Easy!

You could not pay me enough money to attend Bonnaroo (I'm 50ish); however the due to college-age offspring, I hear the news. I'm sure you have already checked out bonnaroo.com/2005. It is extremely crowded and muddy. If you procrastinate getting there, you will be stuck in miles of traffic and may miss a lot. If you need info, I will check with the more "hip" crowd and reply. The other mandatory concert in my home (that I will NOT be attending) is 311 Day in New Orleans.

Well, I turn 45 this year and I am really looking forward to Bonnaroo. We live about an hour & 1/2 from Manchester and made our first visit there last year. The wait to get in was really bad and there was alot of mud - it did rain! However, we had a great time. Wonderful music everywhere. That is what it is all about - the music. Dave Matthews was great and so were many of the small acts in the smaller venues. I would like to hear from anyone who has been to other music fests recently. There is Merlefest in North Carolina and many other music festivals across the country. Let's hear about these unique travel adventures.

Hey smoot60-
I went to Bonnaroo the last two years--- Luckily, I had a tour guide of sorts who was there the first year and knew how to avoid the traffic. I still haven't bought a ticket for this year because of cash flow issues but I'm doubting I'll be able to sit at home while its going on. |
Finally broke down and bought my ticket!
