Body Glove on BI

Has anyone been on the Body Glove excursion on the Big Island?

What the hell are you talking about ?

Yes, I've been on it. It's a snorkeling/sailing trip departing from Kona's docks. It was overcrowded and I got sick as a dog. The spot they picked was too deep for good snorkeling. No whales to be seen either. Although they let some guy fish off the back of the boat and he caught a big colorful fish - they let it go.

Thanks for the info. I think Fairwinds sounds like a better choice.

The Fair Winds is a better cruise, I believe. We went on it, and it was excellent. Goes to the Keal...... Bay, which had really fun and easy snorkeling. Only people there were the people on the cruise, cause its limited by the state or something. While I did not do Body Glove, one of the tourist booth guys told me Fair Winds is the best, and he even knows the Body Glove people. Body Glove is more crowded, he said, and the snorkel area is not as nice. Fair Winds is fairly pricey, and I hesitated forking over all that cash, but it was a highlight of our HAwaii Trip. They give AAA or internet discounts, i think.

Thanks so much. When I compare the prices on the internet, Body Glove is just as pricey Fairwinds. Do those coupon books that they supposedly give you at the hotels have discounts for these cruises?

We (family of six) did body glove cruise in oct of 2000. Me and my sister did not enter the water. All four others had a ball! We did to, we just don't snorkle. I booked ahead and used the entertaiment coupon. 2 for 1! They do film you on the boat and in the water cost was $40.00. They will mail you the finished tape. Decide against it.
