Bodega Bay: Sonoma Coast
Could anyone suggest a chic & cheap place to stay in Bodega Bay? Don't want to spend a fortune. Will be there early september. Thanks!

Chic and cheap don't really exist in Bodega Bay, but you could look at the Bodega HarborInn. We have stayed at the Inn at the Tides, but that's not cheap. You might find something by going to www.bodegabay.org

agree with Kam...BB is really not a chic place. It's a fishing bay.Her advice is good for right in BB.there are some private rentals that you will probably see on the web site. You could consider Holiday in Sebastopol for a less expensive place to stay. It is only about 20-30 minutes away (depending on traffic if a weekend).Freestone, Occidental, and Salmon Creek are all nearby places to consider when searching. We just went on the Bodega (Town of-- not BB)Schoolhouse Tour last week. It was $5-7 and kind of interesting if you are a film buff (The Birds) or a fan of the paranormal.<BR>This is a laid back area. Bodega Harbour Golf and Country Club is more the more upscale part of this small place.

Here is a good website for vacation rentals in the area. http://www.sonomacoast.com/
I'll give a second to the Bodega Harbor Inn, but it is not cheap though you can get deals mid-week. It has wonderful views from very spacious rooms. There is a spa on site. The Duck Club is the on-site restaurant and is quite nice. |
starry nights and shabby chic maybe.... we just stayed at a vacationhideaway.net property. It's called Seal's Landing. It is simple, right over the water (depending on tide as it is at the bay), and has a soft tub. It was $150.00 w/no minumum. Pretty good deal.
