Agree on the $99 deal with dinner for 2, including bottle of house wine! We got that package, including the suite for, I believe $119. If you go off-season, you might be able to get a similar deal with the suite--not sure, that was a while ago and very unusual circumstances, but you could try. There are some amazing deals to be had after October.

Besides the suites, the other rooms run the gamut, from rustic cabins, which I've not seen on the inside, to nice, modern rooms that look just like on the website, but they didn't have that woodsy feel we were looking for. We wanted a Big Sur cabin in the woods, but didn't have time to drive up there and the only rooms that back to the hillside forest are the suites, so those are the only ones I like to stay in.

Btw, the house wine with the package is ok, but nothing exciting. We had additional glasses of Cambria's Julia's and Wild Horse Pinot Noirs and took the rest of the house wine back to our "cabin" to go with our cheese.

About the Roussanne, this might sound familiar. :-) I liked the Roussanne flight I tasted at girl & the fig, Sonoma. I'd say Roussanne and Viognier are similar, both have those big, ripe tropical fruit flavors. Viognier also has the peachy flavors and floral nose, Roussanne generally a little leaner, but I suppose it also depends on the style of the winemaker. I'm going to pick up a bottle of the Andrew Rich Roussanne from Washington, which I've been told is a wonderful wine--my wine guys only have 4 bottles left. If you have a chance to taste it, or pick it up, I would do it.

Winerycat, I wonder if I could find that Roussanne at The Wine Haus in Seaside, OR? He has a lot of really nice wines from all over the world. Thanks for the tip! ***kim***
