Blue Ridge vacation

My husband and I have rented a cabin in Blue Ridge (Premier Cabin Rentals) arriving from the UK 12th February for 1 week. This will be our first time to this part of the US, so we'd be interested in any advice, recommendations etc that anyone has to offer. We will have a 4x4 rental so we can take day trips from Blue Ridge.
Thanks

The Blue Ridge Parkway is many miles long. Where are the Blue Ridge cabins that you're talking about? Someone probably knows. Are they in the national park part of the skyway? I've been in that restaurant and the cabins looked like they would have spectacular views. Lucky you.

10 seconds and google yielded the following:

Premier Cabin Rentals of North Georgia offers
luxury hot tub mountain vacation cabins for rent
in the quaint mountain town of Blue Ridge, GA
- just 90 miles north of Atlanta.

Can anyone help gaynor?

It might even be closer to Chattanooga. Population for the town of Blue Ridge was 1200 per the 2002 Atlas.

Sorry, I posted the original message under Georgia so I thought that people would know that I meant the town of Blue Ridge in Georgia. Rockhopper7 has the right place, thanks for taking the trouble to look it up. Does anyone have any experience of the area ? I have got and read the Frommers and Lonely planet guides, but it's always good to get personal recommendations.

Thanks

Blue Ridge, Ga is a wonderful place. My husband and I have gone there so many times, that we bought retirement property in that area. Unfortuntly, it will be very cold, but you'll still have a good time. If ther would be any way to wait until April or May, I would do so.
Blue Ridge is about an hour and a half from Atlanta and is a pretty mountain area. Make sure to go to the little downtown area full of shops and even a wonderful train ride. You are also about 45 minutes away from Chattanooga, which has lots to do and a wonderful aquarium. I'm not familiar with your cabin rental company, but it will probably be just fine. We've always use Black Bear Rentals and have enjoyed their cabins very much. (www.blackbearcabinrentals.com)In their website, they also have links of things to do in Blue Ridge. Have a great time.
