Blue Ridge Parkway lodging

Will be driving the BRP from the Roanoke, Va area to the Ashville, NC area the last part of May and looking for your favoriate places to stay between $125-175 per night. Like short scenic hikes and photography. We have not driven this area befoe and any suggestions in these near these two locations would be very helpful.

Thanks Lee

If it is on your route, I would recommend considering the Peaks of Otter Lodge.

How about a stop in Mt. Airy, NC, home of Andy Griffith and the inspiration for Mayberry. Stay at Sobota Manor and have a dinner at one of our great wineries. check out www.visitmayberry.com for more information.

Go to the park service lodging site

www.nps.gov/blri/planyourvisit/lodging.htm

There are some lodges in your price range.

Look at Little Switzerland in NC. There are many nice places to stay just off the parkway, without using the Parkway hotels.

Thanks for the suggestions, the Peaks of Otter and Little Switzerland looks great to me.
