Blue dome in Hartford, CT
 

There's an old factory along Rt. 91 in Hartford that has a blue, mosque-style dome on top. Can anyone tell me the story behind it. Thanks, Joe

<BR>Not sure about its history, but I do know it is attached to the Colt Firearms manufacturing plant.

The "Blue Onion", as it is called, sits atop the old Colt Manufacturing building (firearms). It's a landmark. The building is now home to an artists collective or something like that. If you want more information, send me e-mail and I'll try to dig up some history.
