I think it's user-friendly, but I guess it depends on your current setup! I use Google Chrome as my browser, and downloaded a plugin so that any time I'm on a web site (say a Fodor's thread), I just click the button up top. It lets me edit how I want the title to appear, select which "notebook" I want it in, and add tags if I want (maybe I have one notebook called "Trips," and I want to have tags for "nc2013" or something, so I can easily filter what I've saved). You can also just sign into evernote.com and add notes that way, without downloading the browser plugin. I have the app for my phone too.
It's cleaner than using the Fodor's profile page to "save" things, and has the added benefit of not needing to top threads! Plus if you have the app, you can access things offline. I also use it for recipes I want to try, for example, and have tags for "dessert" or "salad," you get the idea.
