blow dryers in europe...

Can OD take HER blow dryer or does she need to get a dual voltage?

kayd Jul 31st, 2006 11:05 AM

Voltage in Europe is 220, so any applicance she takes should operate on that voltage. She may not need to pack a hairdryer if she is staying in a hotel that provides them. Or, if she is staying a long time or will return frequently, she might prefer to buy one locally so as not to have to deal with plug adapters.

Oops, I sent too soon -- for thorough discussion of this topic search for "hairdryer" on the Europe forum.

On a recent visit to Spain there were hair dryers in all of our hotel bathrooms--just like in the US.
