Bloomington Mn hotel advice

Any recommendations of a luxury hotel in Bloomington Minnesota?

Nope, sorry, luxury hotels do not exist in Bloomington. You'd have to stay in Mpls or St. Paul to score 4 stars.

I would say the nicest IMO is the Hotel Sofitel (good restaurants). There are a lot of "newer" hotels around the Mall of America (located in Bloomington. e.g Ramadas, Courtyards, Holiday Inn) but nothing "luxury".

The only 4* hotel in the Bloomington Area is Hotel Sofitel. We stay there quite often and love the restaurants there. Otherwise, the other hotels in that area are 3*. There are some hotels downtown that are nice - just depends on what you are looking for. There are some newer hotels near MOA and we also like the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomington which is across the freeway from Hotel Sofitel.

The Sofitel is the only "luxury" hotel near Bloomington. It is very nice, but be sure and ask for one of the upgraded/renovated rooms. The older rooms are little "worn". Very nice hotel, nice beds, great bar, delicious food, awesome little French store in the lobby. Otherwise, (as others have stated), the downtown has 4-star hotels. And there is now a new light-rail transportation option that will take you from the Mall of America and the airport to those downtown hotels. Have fun!

thanks for the advise. I decided on the Hilton Airport.
