Block Island

Is't possible spend day on Block Island on our feet without using bicycle or moped? Can we just walking around the Island. Thanks,

If you just want to spend the day on the beach and in town, you will be fine without anything (15-20 minute walk to the state beach from town). Keep in mind that if you take the high speed ferry from Pt. Judith you do not get dropped off in town, so you would have about a 20-25 minute walk into town from Payne's Dock. If you want to see more of the island, you really should rent a bike...not a moped (noisy, have to stay on paved roads, islanders hate them).

Is there bike for 2 because my wife can't driving herself.

I often see people on tandem bikes there so my guess is that they do rent them. Try Aldo's 401-466-5018. If they don't have them they should be able to tell you who would.

There's always the quick island tour offered by many of the colorful taxi drivers, should you want to see more of the scenic areas and don't want to make the hike. Mohegan Bluffs, Southeast Light house, the end of Corn Neck Rd. and Rodman's Hollow are some beautiful spots that give you a greater, more rural appreciation of what Block Island has to offer.
