Black Mt.

Searching for a somewhat remote 2 Bdrm. cabin in or around Black Mt., NC w/fp & hot tub for the weekend of Presidents Day (2/17-2/20). All of my usual places are booked. Already tried vrbo, cyber rentals, etc. I'm hoping someone knows of a specific property that may be available ? Thx.

Found a place near Hot Springs (NC) but am still open to any suggestions for future reference. Thx, S.

Does it have to be Black Mountain? You may have better luck in one of the surrounding mountain communities?

No, I'm flexible, we try & stay between Boone & Lake Lure/Chimney Rock just due to the close proximity to Charlotte. Wow, looks like some posts fell off of here...lol

Have you looked at Montreat, Swananoa, Marion, Morganton or Old Fort?

They are all near Black Mountain.

You do know Boone, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure are no where near each other right?

What about Pisgah?

Actually the last place we stayed was, by address, in Swananoa. Generally speaking, we like the amenities of Black Mt. & the size of the town (although we don't want to stay in it). We also like the towns of Chimney Rock & to a lessor degree Boone. I just like to stay w/in a couple of hours of Charlotte as these are typically long weekend trips & I don't want to spend a bunch of time just getting there. We just generally try to stay in that area between Lake Lure/Chimney Rock & Boone & usually not too far West of Asheville. We also try & stay somewhat close to Parkway (Blue Ridge) access for hiking, etc.
