Birthday week-end in February
 

Any suggestions for a long week-end in February? Hope to fly out of Newark--enjoy cities, views of water, art galleries and relaxing in a different setting.

stephh, at first I thought you were "trying again" after only 34 minutes! Anyway, you'll likely get more responses tomorrow - Sunday is typically a slower day here.

How about Boston?

Well San Diego comes to mind for a city on the water with some art galleries and relaxation, but it may be further than you want to travel for just a long weekend. Same for San Francisco.

In the other direction, London and Paris also fit the bill.

Is weather a concern. If not, Paris is wonderful that time of year.

San Diego is high on the list...could make it a 4 day week-end! I have stayed at the Omni there a few years ago, but found the noise from the trains bothersome. Any recommendations for hotels, mclaurie?

I like staying in La Jolla. Lots of good options there.

If I was making a quick trip out of NY in Feb, I don't think I would want to fly all the way to the west coast. I would just get a non stop flight to Florida.
