Birthday Dinner in Vegas

I will be in Vegas for my birthday so my husband has asked me to pick where I would like to go for my birthday dinner. I would like to go someplace nice, but not too upscale. I have narrowed it down to Emerill's New Orleans Fish House (I love seafood), Circo or Olives at Bellagio, and Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. Any comments or comparisons on any of these?

I can comment on Emeril's and Mon Ami Gabi. Both are excellent. Actually, I think the atmosphere at Mon Ami Gabi is better than Emeril's. However, the food at Emeril's is great. Emeril's is pricier, but if you are a seafood lover and money is not an object, Emeril's is the place. I have been to Emeril's once and Mon Ami Gabi twice. We are going to Vegas again at the end of March and I'm sure we will do Mon Ami Gabi again. We really enjoy the atmosphere, as well as the food. If you go to Mon Ami Gabi, have the Bananas Foster for dessert - worth every calorie!! Note, we are staying at Paris. so Mon Ami Gabi is, obviously, convenient.

P. S. Happy Birthday!

Antmaril, what kind of a price range are we talking about for each place? Also how far in advance do I need to make reservation? I was thinking of maybe Emerill's for my birthday and maybe doing Mon Ami Gabi another night while I am there. We will be staying at Ballys, so it would probably be convenient for us also.

Ginny! I will also be in Las Vegas for my birthday! We are having the birthday dinner at Circo. We have eaten there for the past few years and they treat us so well, the food is so good, if you get a seat by the window you will have the music and fountains going off while you eat, it is quite nice.I have also eaten at Emerils and while the food is excellent, if they are really busy, it is quite noisy and the waiters are a little harried..so I do not think of it as a celebration kind of place.Olives is my favorite lunch, it would probably be good for dinner, I will find out as we are staying at the Bellagio and will eat there too.
We are also considering eating at the Italian place in the Mirage,Onda, and maybe if we are lucky:) at Renoir.
What day is your bday? Mine is 3/23:)
Have a Happy one~c

Ginny:

We were at Emeril's about three years ago, so I'm sure it's gone up since then. At that time, I had one drink (my husband doesn't drink - he had coffee), we each had a bowl of soup (excellent) and an entree. No appetizers, dessert or wine. Our dinner, including tip, was approximatly $100. Ala Carte dinners at Mon Ami Gabi start at approximately $15-17.

Hope this helps.
