Thanks all! I will try and narrow it down. I also figure we have a few other dinners to eat while in town, so will try to hit as many of these as possible. A 4 day birthday celebration - yeah, I like that idea~

Oh, another possibility is Restaurant Kevin Taylor. And if you are in town for a while, you will enjoy lunch at the Denver Art Museum at Pallettes--also a Kevin Taylor restaurant. AND the museum, of course!!

Just remembered that Barolo Grill is closed on Mondays.

Kevin Taylor on Sat. night
Fruition on Mon. night Barolo on Tues. night sound good?? :) |
Sounds like winners to me.

I'll start by saying I am not from Denver but this thread piqued my interest. I'll be arriving Friday to celebrate a special year birthday with my mom who is meeting me "halfway" from SFO. I've done quite a bit of research about the various "nice places" to eat. Since I've tried none of them yet, take that into consideration but these were the ones that I found consistently were recs by "foodies" (via Chowhound, Fodors, Zagat and The Denver Post) (in no particular order):
Mizuna (Governor's Park) - French Luca D'Italia (Governor's Park) - Italian Fruition (Alamo Placita) - farm to table Rioja(Downtown) - haute American Tables (Park Hill) - haute American Olivea (Uptown) - Mediterranean (Spain, Italy, So France) Finally, one place that came up over and over again was not in Denver but BOULDER(~45 mins from DEN), was Frasca. |
