Birthday Cake

We will be traveling to the Big Island in November and I am in need of a birthday cake for our daughter's 18th birthday. Any suggestions for a bakery in the Kona area?
Thank you!

You can get a cake from Costco if you have a Costco card.

I just did a quick google -- using "kona bakery" (in quotes) -- and got a list of bakeries in the area...

I don't know if they do cakes but someone used to send me shortbread from a place called "Big Island Candy". It was great stuff.

No cakes -- breat cookies and candies and chocolate-dipped shortbread morsels:

A must-stop (and tour) for every Hilo visitor. The factory is near the airport. They'll even ship the stuff home for you.
