Biltmore: Candlelight or daytime tour?

I'm wondering for anyone who has been if it's worth paying the extra to do the Christmas candlelight tour or if seeing the decorations during the daytime would be better?

Thanks!

I loved the candlelight tour. Grove Park offered a very reasonable package of accomodations and tour during my visit. I think it is worth the extra $$.

I have done both, and definitely think the Christmas tour is worth the money. I'm looking forward to going again during the holidays. :)

Thanks! We are eating at Grove Park for Thanksgiving dinner, but we are staying at the Hillhouse B&B.
I wasn't sure with the night tour, if you really felt like you got to see it all or if you needed to come back during the day for the full picture!
Our other problem, we can either see the candlelight the night before Thanksgiving after driving for 6 hours or the daytime the day after and the Biltmore said that is there busiest day of the year!
Decisions, decisions!
Thanks!

I had been several times growing up during the day so took DH for his first time while we were dating to the Candlelight Xmas tour. Figured it would be romantic! Guess he liked it enough that we got married there ~2 yrs later.

We didn't get back til our 4th anniversary last year for him to have the daytime tour. You don't get the full house and history/info on the Xmas one. IF you can stay and see it the next day I would try too! He used the audio tour and really found it interesting.

I would recommend making dinner reservations at Deerpark the night of the tour.

I guess it really depends on what kind of visit you want to have!

Thank You! We did end up booking tickets for the candlelight tour, but we might take the upgrade and go back in on Thanksgiving day before our meal at the Grove Park.
What a beautiful place to get married!!
