Billings-Yellowstone-Flight Help!

Hi everyone :) Thanks in advance for reading and helping me out!

I'm going to Billings, Montana this summer for a field study for a class and I need to figure out airfare from Pittsburgh, PA. I'll be leaving beginning of July from Pittsburgh and coming back beginning of August.

I'm looking at United Airlines, and they seem to be the cheapest in terms of my time schedules. I have to be at the airport by 1 PM in July and can leave sometime in the afternoon in August. I wanted to see if any of you could recommend flights...will they get cheaper if I wait for some special deals?

Thanks again!!!

This trip is for a study in Yellowstone...I wasn't sure if more people might read this post if I had Yellowstone in the posts, rather than Billings, Wyoming.

You might check for flights into Bozeman on Horizon (an Alaksa partner)---I think it's closer to Yellowstone than Bilings is.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have to go to Billings, MT because this is a group field study and we're all meeting at the Billings, MT airport and taking a bus together.

Where are you flying from?

Have you compared the fares on Northwest and Delta to those on United for Bilings?

We usually use PIT, but found Cleveland to Billings had better prices for our summer trip. Might try Cleveland instead.

Also, sign up on airfarewatchdog.com for the city(ies) you're interested in. They'll notify you by e-mail of sales on any airline. Sometimes the fares are only available for a day, then are gone.

My son got a great rate from Chicago to here using their info. He'd have missed it if he hadn't been enrolled (it's free) because he can't always check everyday to see what fares are doing.

Good luck.

Try Frontier Airlines through Denver.
