Bill & Kate's adventure

So it looks like Prince William and Kate will be visiting CA. Cool.
Sure would like to know exactly where they are going. I dont see them getting the royal treatment at Venice Beach. Although it's the hippest beach in LA, and the most famous one that's full of whackos and assorted nut jobs.
Perhaps the royal couple might partake in some medical Marijuana? LSD, or other stuff California is known for.
If you were to show them two around, where would you take them?

Like everybody else who asks that question here, we need to know a few more details: what time of year, how many days, public or private transportation and so on...:-P

As a native Californian who has lived in both Southern & Northern California, I can assure you we are not all drugged out wackos. As with anyone visiting, what I suggest they visit depends on their interests, which part of the state they are visiting and how long they are staying.

I read earlier this week that the Schwarzenegger's were to host them in July. With the BIG SPLIT, I wonder what Plan B will be???

Yosemite Valley, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, hike to the top of Mt. Whitney (I hear the Duchess is "sporty"), Mono Lake, Lake Tahoe, Napa/Sonoma (they're probably thirsty by now), San Francisco Bay, Muir Woods, the Monterey Peninsula, Big Sur, Piedras Blancas, Hearst Castle (in case they're feeling homesick), the Channel Islands ("The American Galapagos"), Hollywood (because someone told them it's a must-see), La Brea Tar Pits (to illustrate that Will's family are not the world's only dinosaurs), Laguna Beach, San Diego Zoo. Like most tourists, they imagine they can check off everything on this list in two weeks.

The royals would have to become residents of California in order to apply to the Medical Marijuana Program. We Californians would welcome them to become residents and pay their income tax here. I understand they might have enough money to buy a little place on the West Side.

Who really believes Venice is "the hippest beach in L.A."?

I've never heard Prince William referred to as Bill before. Will yes, but not Bill.

Who really believes Venice is "the hippest beach in L.A."?

Well, at least one person seems to. Your alternative suggestion is????????????

One person. Hurray for Venice!

I'd pick several spots in Malibu. The Colony, Pt. Dume, Broadbeach.

Or even Manhattan/Hermosa, especially if you're into beach sports and pro athletes rather than celebs and run-of-the-mill rich people.

Just about anywhere but Venice. Freak does not = hip to me. I like Abbott Kinney, but it's not on the beach.
