We just returned from DC last week and did the Monuments at Night tour with Bike and Roll. We absolutley loved it. Our guide made it relaxing and fun and he was very informed about the sites. We wish we had used this company to bike to Mount Vernon from alexandria instead of driving.

We enjoy doing segway tours. If you have never done a segway you might consider that.

willis,

I have biked from Old Town Alexandria to Mount Vernon - WITH KIDS. It's 25 miles round trip. Do a 25 mile test ride near home before committing to biking to Mt. Vernon.

Bike and Roll also does straight forward bike rentals if you don't want the confines of a tour. http://bikethesites.com/
