Big woody show...

That sounds kind of funny, but there's a big woodie show in Encinitas next weekend and we're thinking of going. Can anyone recommend any good seafood places? Looking for more of the seafood shanty/shack type place. No fancy restaurants.... Thanks.

Woody Allen show?

jetset1 Sep 8th, 2006 02:38 PM

I love woodies! We have older friends in a car club with a funny car who go everywhere.. betcha the woodies have some real stiffs! J.:)

orangetravelcat Sep 8th, 2006 02:42 PM

Although I like Woody Allen, that's not what I'm referring to:

Kal Sep 8th, 2006 02:48 PM

I have older friends who have problems with their woodies. O:)

I thought you were going to talk about the Hawaii Woodshow, opening next Friday at Aloha Tower Marketplace:

Mels....ever hear about the diff between a Hawaiian woodpecker and a Californian woodpecker? ;;)

BayouGal Sep 8th, 2006 03:02 PM

Oh, wow, Melissa. How awesome. I'd like to go to that!

orangetravelcat Sep 8th, 2006 03:14 PM

Maybe I should repost my question under a different heading....not that all these woodie jokes aren;t funny.

Kal Sep 8th, 2006 03:21 PM

Come on OTC....you post a header like that on a Friday afternoon and a full moon???? 8-}

sistahlou Sep 8th, 2006 03:26 PM

Is this the new Vegas Revue and is it kid friendly?

iamq Sep 8th, 2006 03:27 PM

That's what we used to call Thursday night at the STUD.

Kal Sep 8th, 2006 03:29 PM

Oh no........ :-"

sistahlou Sep 8th, 2006 03:34 PM

I hit send first!!!!

jetset1 Sep 8th, 2006 04:13 PM

otc~ kiddo, I'll ask my sister who used to live in the area and has since transpanted her petite self to Houston..

You know, it's Friday and some of the kids like to get silly here.. be patient and I'll do a little research.. J.

sistahlou Sep 8th, 2006 04:21 PM

Jetset!!!
Nownownow....dont be doing a switch on us, and playin innocent to us kids, as you set the bait and you ARE the previous poster and set the atmosphere!

BTW....do they drug test the Big woody show participants?

Neopolitan Sep 8th, 2006 04:23 PM

Hey, didn't I read a thread here that started with "That sounds kind of funny. . ."? What's the problem with a few jokes when a thread itself is an invitation for them?
Meanwhile, this has made me so thirsty for a Wet Woodie at Lake Tahoe.

sistahlou Sep 8th, 2006 04:27 PM

OGT....actually the website looks like a place I'd love to be at rather than whats's on the agenda! Thanks for letting us have fun with you. Wish I could be there!

jetset1 Sep 8th, 2006 04:46 PM

sistahlou~ yeah, like I need to confess that I go to the edge and need a hairy hand to pull me back up, fix me a drink, rub my back, run to and fro in a loincloth, and then take me to see the woodies, since his twin is also in town, and likes the car stuff..

((*)) Now find this nice op a restaurant, or I'll resusitate the doughboy thread as punishemnt;)

jetset1 Sep 8th, 2006 04:52 PM

Neo~ what's in a wet woodie btw?((D))

sistahlou Sep 8th, 2006 04:54 PM

ummmmm....I think I wuz talking about another woody....

sistahlou Sep 8th, 2006 05:15 PM

jetset...I sincerely have no idea what you are talking about. I would happilly laugh, If I knew what the hell any of that meant!

Kal Sep 8th, 2006 05:38 PM

I'm still sober and I can't even understand the both of you. :-B

gomiki Sep 8th, 2006 05:55 PM

Well...I'm not going to say what I was thinking when I opened this :) .. and Kal, what's the difference??

orangetravelcat Sep 9th, 2006 02:41 PM

So, will any of you be showing your woodies there?

sumreknot Sep 9th, 2006 03:06 PM

Come on...still waiting to know the difference!!!!Please tell me this is not another Fodor's "Inside" joke...

jetset1 Sep 9th, 2006 04:10 PM

The difference between a regular woody and a wet woodie?

I believe a wet woodie needs to be shaken..

iamq Sep 9th, 2006 04:26 PM

I like my wet woodies stirred.

trippinkpj Sep 9th, 2006 04:30 PM

I saw a string of big Woodies in Big Sur at the Ventana resort.
Bill? Kal? ;-)

jetset1 Sep 9th, 2006 04:45 PM

How much wood could a woodie peck if a woodie could peck wood?

sumreknot Sep 9th, 2006 04:51 PM

No..the diff between a Hawaiian Woodie and a California Woodie..posted by Kal...is there a difference?

Statia Sep 9th, 2006 04:51 PM

I thought this was a companion thread to "that restaurant" thread earlier in the week. ;) The pink whatchyamacallit.

jetset1 Sep 9th, 2006 04:55 PM

sumrenot~ one has coconuts brown and hairy, the other grapes, small and scary....

sumreknot Sep 11th, 2006 04:18 PM

Love it..and the restaurant theme just keeps on...well I can't think of a good verb..I'm sure someone out there can!
