Big Island resort - which one?

Looking for a resort right on the ocean. Looking to stay for a week. Kona side.

I have stayed at the Kona Village resort on the big island. It is an all inclusive (3 meals) and the food is good. It is on the water and there is great snorkeling. They have 2 pools. You don't stay in hotel rooms but Hales which are little houses that are quite romantic and nice. No phones or TV. It is the most relaxing place I have ever been to.

Kona Village is first rate,,VERY quiet.
If your looking for a liitle more action the Hilton is very nice.

Hey Diana,
Have you looked at the Hapuna Prince Resort. It is a sister property with Mauna Kea Resort. The hotel is very nice, located about 45 minutes from Kona (as I remember) overlooking probably the best beach on the island if you like a very wide, powderly sand beach. The pool and restaurant at the hotel are also quite nice. The hotel features an Arnold Palmer designed golf course, and as stated earlier is only a short walk from the Mauna Kea resort. I stayed at the Hapuna Prince in July and found it very quiet and enjoyable.

Just a thought.
Paul

I too vote for the Hapuna. I've recently posted on this subject, but I can't remember the title subject to tell you where to look (in archives).
Anyway, I stayed there last June and it was a wonderful place. The beach was the high point of that hotel. FAbulous white-sand beach!
