Big Island activities/spas/boat tours

Hi all,

We are just finalizing our plans for our trip to the BI and can't decide on which activities to reserve.

We would like to do one boat tour -- either the Fair Wind snorkelling cruise (4.5 hour deluxe morning cruise) or the whale watching tour (Dan McSweeney).

Also, we are thinking of going to a spa as well - the Fairmont Orchid one looks great. Has anyone been? How does the Four Seasons compare?

Also, we are thinking of doing the kohala coast helicopter tour. Is it worth it?

Thanks in advance.

D.

Can tell you that the spa at the Orchid
is wonderful. You can have an outdoor
massage by the water or in the gardens by a waterfall in a private cabana.
It's heavenly !!! Have fun.

I vote for the Fairwind II snorkel trip, it was the best we have experienced in Hawaii, be sure to reserve in advance! :S-

The spa at the Mauna Lani Hotel is excellent but the best is at the Four Seasons Hualalai. But they only offer it to guest of the hotel.

Had a massage at the Orchid's Spa Without Walls and it was just amazing. Very nice facilities and a great massage.
