Big Bear Cabins
I have been looking at cabins in the Big Bear, Ca area and I saw something that looked good in Sugarloaf. I don't care about being near the slopes just looking for a pretty cabin in a wooded area, not too close to other cabins. Anyone familiar with the Sugarloaf area?

Sugarloaf is east of Big Bear and primarily residential. As long as you don't mind driving to shopping and restaurants its okay. You won't have a view of the lake though.

We stayed at the Big Bear Cabin advertised by these guys: http://www.fireandicevacationrentals.com/
and had a great stay. It is right next to the slopes, but it's also in a nice wilderness area where the homes are very spread out. I don't like Sugarloaf, personally. I find it kind of trashy. |
Back from my weekend! I took a chance on a place I saw on VRBO and it was great. In Big Bear City, on the far end so not in the congested area. Very well equipped and cute decor. Not so rustic that it was old and run down, but not so fancy that you felt you couldn't relax. It had a fully equpped kitchen, comfy queen bed in one room, a double and a twin in the other bedroom, fold out couch in the living room. They take dogs and the yard in fenced. The place was immaculate. http://www.vrbo.com/107130
