Thank you for sharing this. I have never been to Charleston without at least one meal at Hominy Grill. The loss of that restaurant is staggering. It was the first place I recommended to people and I never had anything other than a great meal there. Last time I was there the best meals we had were there, Magnolia and Lewis BBQ. One thing I noticed is it is much more crowded and urban feeling than it was even a few years ago.

I thouhgt the restos objecting to their reviews was hilarious--cook better food or give better service. Problem solved.
Our kids ate at Husk when it first was the be all and end all. These are restaurant owners themselves and they found it just so so even then. BUT that said, any restaurant can/will have an off day.
They LOVE the Xi BAO Biscuit place!!

I was underwhelmed by Husk years ago. At the end of the day, I am as happy at Magnolia that the "hip" places that are so popular that I have been to.
