Beverly Hills Accommodations - Best hotel for under $400/night
Will be attending a fundraising event in Bel Air on a Thursday night in November. My wife and I are 38 years old and have never been to Beverly Hills. We plan to arrive on a Wednesday and stay through Friday afternnon (2 nights). Any recommendations on best hotel for under $400/night for location/sites/restaurants? Thanks.

Disclaimer - I've not stayed here, but with that budget I'd really want to stay at the Beverly Hills hotel
http://www.beverlyhillshotel.com/ For the dates I checked, they have a promotional rate for a Superior Guestroom at under $400, but I think I'd splurge a bit and get the balcony room at a AAA rate of $450. Send me a postcard if you stay there! :-) |
Probably the W hotel in Westwood is best if you truly want something with easy access to Bel Air plus close to restaurants. As for being close to "sites", it depends on what you want to see and do in your short time there.
Beverly Hills Hotel is a great place with an interesting history and would be my choice, but it is not near anything as far as restaurants, walking tours etc. With the Bel Air hotel closed temporarily, most of the other guests to your event will probably be staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel. |
The Beverly Hills Hotel is fantastic. A destination unto itself. I liked it much better than the Peninsula, the only other Beverly Hills Hotel I've been to.

If you want to stay in the middle of places to walk to, I'd stay at the W in Hollywood (at Hollywood and Vine) and drive or cab it to the event in Bel Air -
http://www.starwoodhotels.com/whotel...ropertyID=1789 If there's an event at the Patages theatre while you are there, I'd fit that in too :-) If you want to stay closer to Bel Air, I love the Kimpton hotel group and there's a Hotel Palomar nearby - http://www.hotelpalomar-lawestwood.com/ <i>But I still vote for the Beverly Hills Hotel :-) |
