Beverley Hilton hotel, LA

Anyone stayed there? What's it's location/area like?

Gayle Apr 18th, 2002 08:48 AM

Chris,
The Beverly Hilton is very well located at Santa Monica Blvd. and Wilshire in Beverly Hills. It's easily walkable to the main shopping streets of B.H. The lobby is lovely. The pool area is very nice. The rooms are only average and nothing special. It's a good central location.

We're staying there in August. As long as the rooms are clean etc, that's fine. It's location sounds great though!

The rooms are clean, but pretty old and small. Lobby area and staff service were very nice.

As Gayle has mentioned, BH is well located, convenient to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Century City, Westwood, etc. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Great pool, nicely heated with crystal clear water.

Depends on what you're looking for and your age range. It's pricey and so are the shops. Hotels by the beach are terrific and shopping is so much better (price-wise), unless you're looking for the haute-coutier experience.

Agree, it depends on what you're looking for.
I visited the Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade shopping area once last year (first time) and won't return. Trashy and touristy IMO. Definitely not an area I'd take visiting friends to if I lived in the area.
On the other hand, some people seem to like it there.
