It is not in a very good section of town--especially at night.

Keep in mind that I have NEVER seen the hotel...but judging by the address I would not recommend it.

The only reason reason to stay in that part of town is if you had to go to an event at the MCI Center (just a few blocks west). Even then, there are better places.

Maybe someone who has actually stayed there can give a you a little better insight.

-Tony

The hotel may be okay, I don't know about that; it's main clientele is probably business guests as it is very near the GAO and the city court bldgs, in fact the closest metro stop is Judiciary Square. It's just a little bit of odd location, I wouldn't stay there probably for that reason as there's nothing around there at night (restaurants, etc); but if you don't care about that, it might be okay--that metro stop and area aren't really as bad as some others. It's very near the Building Museum (which is great) and within walking distance of the National Gallery, also, I sometimes use that metro stop when going to/from the National Gallery as I travel on the red line and you don't have to transfer to the yellow line that way to get off at Archives which wastes a lot of time. If you want to be in a neighborhood where you can walk around your hotel at night and find restaurants, then it's no good for that, otherwise not so bad, but I would not describe it as close to everything.
