Best way to get from Paris to Venice and around Italy?
So I am planning a 2 week European getaway in September. It will be my husband and I traveling together. (We are getting married in June). We plan on flying from Denver, CO to Paris, spending a few days in Paris and then going to Italy and flying from Rome back to Denver. My question is, what is the best way to get to Italy without renting a car? Then once in Italy, what is the best way to get around? We plan on starting in Venice, then Florence and Pisa, and then ending our trip in Rome. I have been looking at rail passes but am not sure where to start. I was hoping someone here could help me out. You all were so helpful with my other questions.

You'll get better advice if you repost on the Europe board.
I'll get you started by saying whichbudget.com is a website that will give you info on budget intereurope airlines. Kayak.com is also worth checking. You probably want to fly from Paris to Venice and then use trains to get from place to place in Italy. Good luck.

Between Paris and Venice you can either fly or take an overnight train.
Then from Venice on you can take the train. You don't need a rail pass for what you describe. Just buy tickets at the train stations as you go along.
